We are having an opening with one of our client as a System Admin and Linux Admin based out in Noida.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Core resources and applications

• Provide tiered 24×7 support for production infrastructure in a NOC environment
• Maintain all web hosting, virtualized and other hardware assets including production servers, network and storage resources
• Working via a ticketing system and responding to ticket escalation from both US and India
• Identifying and troubleshooting performance bottlenecks
• Responding to security incidents
• Participation in shared on-call rotation with other SAs

Qualifications:
You must have:

• 4+ years of experience working with a team of System Administrators and System Engineers for a 24*7 international production support process.
• B.Tech/BS or equivalent education from a reputed institute in India or abroad
• Good understanding of virtualization technology, hands on at least one of the technologies (Xen, VMware)
• Experience deploying and maintaining Linux servers in a production data center environment
• Experience in backup technologies (Bacula, Networker, Commvault, NetBackup)
• Hands on experience in LAMP (Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP)
• Good knowledge of Domain Name registration, DNS, shared web hosting, VPS and dedicated hosting solutions
• Speak and write fluent English, and display patience and good judgment
• Following Processes and working via ticketing systems
• Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Significant Unix administration experience (Linux focus preferred)
• Understanding of networking fundamentals, TCP/IP protocol stack and OSI/RM

It would be great if you also have:

• Prior experience of working for a web hosting company in shared as well as Virtualized and dedicated hosting environment
• Remote system administration and monitoring technology (IPMI, SNMP)
• Cisco switch and firewall experience
• IPTables, High Availability and Load Balancing technology
• Configuration management, application deployment and automation technology
• Knowledge of distributed directories and authentication (Kerberos, LDAP, Active Directory) in heterogeneous networks
• Ruby on Rails web cluster deployment
