Job Title: Technical Analyst

Job Description and Responsibilities

1. The Technical Analyst (TA) will be a crucial part of project implementation team for implementation of enterprise CRM solutions. The TA needs to have excellent command over Microsoft technologies to be able to configure / customize the CRM solution based on the customer’s business needs. The primary skill required from a TA is superior technical understanding to handle customization, design and implementation of CRM solutions to meet customers’ expectations of performance and functionality. The TA will be accountable for the quality, timeliness and documentation of all customization work.

2. Apart from the technical skills, the TA needs to have basic understanding of enterprise software solutions (preferably CRM or ERP) and the business requirements driving such solutions. This is necessary since the TA will be exposed to requirement gathering sessions, workshops etc. with the customers. In order to successfully participate in such sessions, basic understanding of business and customer-facing skills are required of a TA.

Responsibilities

Review project background information, requirements and design specification documents and customize the CRM solution as per the design document through creation of tables, forms, reports, scripts etc.
Contribute to design specification workshops held internally or with the customer by providing technical opinion and expertise.
Perform pre-delivery testing and backup and repair as problems arise
Liaison with customer to find resolution on any outstanding customization issues
Create documentation on customization performed for internal purpose as well as for providing to customer
Provide 3rd level incident escalation support to the Technical Support Group for customization problems.
Commitment to continuous enhancement of technical and functional skills.

Primary Skills (essential)

5+ years of overall technology experience of which 3+ years of implementation experience of an enterprise software product / project. Must have been part of at-least 3 cycles of implementation of an enterprise software project.
Proficiency with relational DB systems design, VB, VB Script, COM/DCOM, .NET, ASP, SQL
Experience with Microsoft Back Office specifically, SQL Server and IIS
Background in client server architecture, legacy systems, systems integration
Experience in working with multiple stakeholders in successful implementations or resolutions of problems
Ability to work productively in a dynamic deadline-driven environment, independently and as part of a team
Strong organizational, written and oral communication skills
Demonstrated functional expertise in customization, able to provide knowledge and expertise within and across departments.

Secondary skills (Desirable)

Experience of programming in XML, DHTML
Previous experience in working with an enterprise CRM package
Exposure to Oracle, middleware like BizTalk server

Education:

Degree in Computer Science / Degree in Engineering from a reputed college / university.
