Experience: 5 to 7 yrs
Job Description: Veritas Netbackup
1. To provide 3rd level Storage Management services, support and product support for Veritas Netbackup across various accounts. Duties include Provide 3rd level technical support, guidance and direction for products supported.
2. Analyse and resolve or escalated problems.
3. Audit application backup policies and environments to ensure integrity of backup and recovery activities.
4. Participate in the recovery of application environments where required.
5. Ensure integrity of supported environment.
6. Actively and pre-emptively determine possible faults and causes by the execution of pre-determined health and operational checks.
7. Manage and resolve problems identified by sys admins or monitoring software
8. Analyse and resolve escalated problems within target.
9. Investigate, identify and document proposals that will improve application recoverability.
10. Document and implement changes to technical standards as required.
11. Change and problem management targets are exceeded
12. Ensure that customer satisfactory levels are exceeded
13. Work with change and problem management tools
14. 3 + years of experience required
15. Has applied knowledge in the administration of windows NT/2000 or Linux systems, Has applied knowledge of Veritas Net backup
16. Provide recommendations to improve the backup/recovery infrastructure, and address/lead critical issues and root cause analysis
